Orion Point Of Commerce

A Point of Sale Module that is Tightly Integrate to Sage 300.

Tight Integration means that your staff working with Orion Point of Sale have the ability to get instant or near instant detail about stock availability costs and customers as soon as its available. More importantly, employees in other parts of your business can react immediately to the impact of potentially high volumes of sales on corporate inventory. This translates into better inventory management, stock purchasing and overall better control of your cash and inventory.

Integrate or Glue It On

Point of Sale Systems can either integrate directly to your Accounting System or can pass data to the accounting system. Typically, a “Glued On” solution has its own Inventory Module and possibly Accounts Receivable Module. Transactions are processed in the POS and then passed to the accounting system. Usually, the accounting system can’t see what the POS is doing and the POS can’t see what is going on in the accounting system. If you have orders flowing in from a web store for instance, the POS cant always see that stock is committed or potentially unavailable. Being tightly integrated, Orion POS and POC can “see” past this to get a true picture of the inventory and levels of committed stock. This also means that the impact on your POS from the stock ordering and receiving process can be “Seen” immediately or close to it.

Get the Big Picture.

If you know what is being sold in your organization, where and when, you can’t react effectively. If your systems are not integrated, you can’t know what your levels of commitment are to your customers.  You can’t guarantee shipments nor accurately order stock. Orion Point of Sale together with Sage 300 and an integrated Web Store is a true End-To-End solution for your businesses have relied on strong integration to Inventory Control Data. In order to implement an Omni channel strategy in your organization, your existing Point of Sale System must be capable of processing Order Entry transactions as well as traditional Point of Sale transactions concurrently. To ensure accuracy, the transactions “must be processed in (or near) real time”. Orion Point of Sale V3 has been enhanced to allow processing of Order Entry transactions (regardless of their source) from the Point of Sale System. A key component if you are planning to implement a true Omnichannel strategy in your business.

Point of Commerce (POC) the Holy Grail of Retail Transaction Processing.

Adding the ability to complete Order Entry transactions at your Point of Sale as well as, process Point of Sale transactions, payments (cash, credit and electronic), returns or credit notes, layaway’s and integrating all aspects of this data processing to your ERP system will convert your Omnichannel solution to a point of commerce solution. Point of Commerce systems are the holy grail of retail transaction processing and for the most part are currently unavailable to most businesses.

Orion Point of Commerce is the Next Generation of Point of Sale Transaction Processing.

We’ve added the ability to receive payments, ship, or credit Sage 300 Orders, Invoices, Shipments and Credit Notes from the Point Of Sale in addition to the full suite of point of sale transactions. This means that a customers purchasing one of your products online from your web store can designate pickup of that product at any of your physical retail stores or warehouses. If they wish to return the product, simply bringing that product to one of your retail stores and processing a return (or Credit Note) is all that is necessary. Real Time Access to the company Order Processing data ensures the timely, accurate processing of the returned goods. If a refund is required this can easily be processed and accurately accounted for in the cash counting features (cash out) of the Point Of Sale System.
