What database does Orion POS use?

Currently, Orion Point of Sale Microsoft uses Microsoft SQL Express 2005 as the default Point of Sale Database. MS SQL Express 2005 is perfect for POS transaction processing because of its stability, ease of use, and price. If you already have the Microsoft SQL database or require more than 25 concurrent connections to the database, there is no difference from our perspective in using one of the full MS-SQL databases available.
